Gerry Symes

Gerry’s first visit to the Lake District was in 1993 when he completed the Three Shires Fell Race. He has been coming back regularly ever since – running, walking or just enjoying browsing around the towns and villages. Gerry enjoys stopping at The Coledale Inn in Braithwaite, his favourite tipple is the Yates’s bitter. Borowdale is his favourite valley – “it has its own micro climate – I like to photograph the Lakes in its different moods and don’t even mind the rain”.
