North to Brotherswater from Red Screes Liz lives on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and although she has walked in the dales, including the Yorkshire 3 Peaks (separately), her heart is in the Lake District. She is usually accompanied by her boyfriend Barrie and his dog Sam. |

The Langdale Pikes from Elterwater Liz started walking in the Lakes about 10 years ago (she worked for a year in the 70s at the Low Wood Hotel) and at the moment (January 2003) has 7 Wainwrights left. Liz says 'I don't normally like tick lists but doing 'the Wainwrights' has taken me to some lovely and not so well known parts of the area that I probably wouldn't have gone to if I hadn't been doing them'. She usually gets to the Lakes every couple of weeks. |

Great Gable from Scafell Pike Liz lived in the north of Scotland for 17 years but was more into the marine side of things then. Among the places she has lived are Knoydart - a truly magical place, especially if you like really remote places, Duirinish near Kyle of Lochalsh with views across to the Cuillin mountains on Skye and the lovely town of Forres in Moray. Her photos are taken with a compact camera the Olympus mu2 zoom 80. |
