The Snap Poll

The Snap Poll is a new and interactive feature of the site. The poll on this occasion takes the form of a Photo Contest, it is just for fun and unfortunately there are no prizes! The photographs entered into the contest may be familiar to you as they have been featured in the Visitor Galleries, although some participants have submitted photographs specially for the contest.  Thanks to everyone below for being such good sports, and good luck.

I'm sure if you are a fan of the Lake District then you will already know of Andrew.  Andrew purchased a Canon Digital IXUS 300 in September 2001 and since then has not stopped taking photographs while out fellwalking. He will take up to 200 shots on a single walk and publishes the best ones on his website.

Liz lived in the north of Scotland for 17 years but was more into the marine side of things then. Among the places she has lived are Knoydart, Duirinish near Kyle of Lochalsh with views across to the Cuillin mountains on Skye and the lovely town of Forres in Moray.

Paul has been a fan of the Lake District since his early childhood, when he used to go for holidays using the British Railways "Runabout Tickets".  Paul's favourite lakes are Buttermere and Wastwater, though he says 'Buttermere can get a bit crowded these days, unlike when I first visited there, thirty-odd years ago'.
